As a safety response, officials would not allow aircraft to land and directed two of them to land at neighboring airports where, presumably, there was nothing from <a href=\"http:\/\/cryptopia.us\/site\/category\/monsters\/out-of-this-world\/\" target=\"_\">OUT OF THIS WORLD<\/a> to impede air traffic. According to a Baotou airport spokeswoman, <span><span> Ms. Luo<\/span><\/span>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;The airport received a notice from the Hohhot Air Traffic Management Bureau about the appearance of a UFO. To guarantee security, the aircraft heading for the airport had to land at secondary airports. In July, a UFO forced officials to shut down <a href=\"http:\/\/cryptopia.us\/site\/2010\/07\/ufo-in-chinas-skies-closes-airport\/\" target=\"_\">Xiaoshan airport<\/a> in China&#8217;s Zhijiang province.
