\"\"<\/a>The Voice of Russia<\/a> has reported that members of an expedition that was looking for the mysterious yeti in Mountain Shoria have reported that forest fires have made Altai yetis move to the Kuzbass region, where they have started a \u201cwar\u201d with local bears.<\/p>\n

Searches for this mysterious Russian BIGFOOT — which may be related to the ALMAS<\/a> — started several decades ago. This year\u2019s expedition to Mountain Shoria, which is located in the Siberian taiga, is already the third for noted HAIRY HOMINID<\/a> researcher and director of the International Center for Hominology Igor Burtsev since 2009.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>While there have been reports from credible officials such as forest wardens going back to 2004, Burtsev’s first expedition to the region was launched after hunters reported sightings of the shambling man-beast. In that first trip\u00a0 searchers <\/em>claimed to find evidence in the form of fresh footprints. Burtsev assures that this time the yetis have left traces of their stay in the taiga:<\/p>\n

\u201cThey make strange pyramidal constructions of trunks and branches in the wood, sometimes 3 or 4 meters, sometimes only 30 cm high. Sometimes they bend huge trees and twist their trunks like wheels. A human being is just not strong enough for that, and there seems to be no need for bears to do this. At first, we thought that yetis do this to make shelters, but then we came to the conclusion that this is a sort of landmark for them. Or, maybe, this is a way for a yeti to say something to its congeners (other creatures within the same race or kind.)\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Burtsev has talked with local residents who claim that they have seen yetis with their own eyes. Sometimes, farmers take them for wood goblins:<\/p>\n

\u201cFolk beliefs say that the wood goblin is the master of the woods. All animals, even bears, submit to him. The wood goblin has a strong hypnotic power, thus he is not afraid of any animal.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

According to Burtsev, these YETI of Siberia are competing with Siberian Brown Bear — despite the fact that this ferocious predator can weigh as much as 800 pounds — and ferocity. As Burtsev told the press:<\/p>\n

“The yetis are winning \u2013- they are obviously stronger and have rudimentary intellect. If this ‘war’ between yetis and bears continues, there is a risk that bears will not sleep this winter because of a shortage of food, instead going to villages in search of something to eat.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\"\"<\/a>Burtsev claims that to prevent this the region\u2019s authorities plan to organize bear feeding. However, it seems that local residents have already found a common language with the yetis, as Burtsev insists they share a “psychic” connection with the local humans.
