\"\"<\/a>Watch out Nessie, there’s a new monster on the block! London’s The Telegraph<\/a> has reported that a recently published photograph is said to be the best evidence yet of what some claim is a monster lurking beneath the depths of England’s Lake Windermere.<\/p>\n

The sensational photograph — which shows an animate object with three humps breaching the surface of the water — was taken on a camera phone by Tom Pickles, who claimed that he snapped the image while kayaking on the lake as part of a team building exercise with his IT company.<\/p>\n

The terrified Pickles said he saw a LAKE MONSTER<\/a> — which he estimated to be the size of three cars — speed past him on the lake and watched it for about 20 seconds:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cIt was petrifying and we paddled back to the shore straight away. At first I thought it was a dog and then saw it was much bigger and moving really quickly at about 10-mph. Each hump was moving in a rippling motion and it was swimming fast.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n

This is believed to be the eighth sighting of a long humpbacked creature — known by local residents as “BOWNESSIE” — in the past last five years. Pickles described what he saw:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cIts skin was like a seal\u2019s but it\u2019s shape was completely abnormal — it\u2019s not like any animal I\u2019ve ever seen before.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\"\"<\/a>Pickles and his companion Sarah Harrington were on the last day of a team building residential training course when they kayaked about 300-meters into the 11-mile lake near Belle Isle. It was there that they spotted the beast to the south. Harrington described its serpentine structure:<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was like an enormous snake. I only saw it for a few seconds but all I could think about was that I had to get off the lake.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Pickles’s picture perfectly matches the description of an earlier sighting from the shores of Wray Castle in 2006, by journalism lecturer Steve Burnip. According to Burnip:<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m really pleased that someone has finally got a really good picture of it. I know what I saw and it shocked me, it had three humps and it\u2019s uncanny the likeness between this and what I saw five years ago.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Photo expert David Farnell\u00a0 from Lancaster added:<\/p>\n

\u201cIt does look like a real photo, but because it\u2019s been taken on a phone the file size is too small to really tell whether it has been altered on Photoshop or not.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

In July of 2009, former skeptic and avid channel swimmer, Thomas Noblett, claimed that something large brushed past his legs while he was swimming in the lake, after which he was lifted out of the water by a giant wave:<\/p>\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t entertain it before. Now when I\u2019m in the lake it has my full attention… I always look forward to swimming in Windermere, now I\u2019m starting to get the fear.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
