\"\"<\/a>CBS<\/a> has reported that members of the BFRO (Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization) are searching for proof of Bigfoot along the the heavily flooded Missouri River.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re definitely going to keep our eye open for more reports that might come in, because the creatures might be a little displaced from all that flooding. They might be venturing into areas where there are more people, and more people might be seeing them.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

An online community of some 400 Bigfoot researchers nationwide,\u00a0 the BFRO investigates sightings and looks for patterns.\u00a0 One pattern, Luffman says is clear \u2014 where there\u2019s water, there\u2019s Bigfoot:<\/p>\n

\u201cOver the years, we found that it really does seem like sasquatches do tend to use river systems and creeks as roadways. They tend to stick close to fresh water and they stick close to those rivers.\u00a0\u00a0 If the rivers start flooding,\u00a0 they might be moving out of their comfort zone.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Luffman insists there is something real about it that can\u2019t be dismissed. Her own father, she says, went from a HAIRY HOMINID<\/a> skeptic to believer, after attending a night time expedition with her in 2009 in the Shawnee National Forest:<\/p>\n

\u201cWe were out there.\u00a0 We went up a trail and cooked some bacon, hoping that might attract something. And we had done some calls, and on the way down, we had our lights on because it was dark and we had to see, and my Dad just happened to turn his head off the trail and saw two huge eyes looking back at him from about 30 feet away. And when I came back, I looked and with both of our lights shining on this creature we could see his eyes, the shape of his head.\u00a0 It was just amazing,\u00a0 He took a few steps away from us.\u00a0 He sounded enormous.\u00a0 He was obviously walking on two legs.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

With floodwaters rolling down the Missouri River,\u00a0 Luffman says hikers, campers and motorists should be circumspect for possible Bigfoot sightings \u2014 anything from a road crossing to a face-to-face encounter:<\/p>\n

\u201cDo stay calm.\u00a0 Remember that they\u2019re not as a rule aggressive animals . They\u2019re pretty quiet. They\u2019re curious about people. And don\u2019t try to shoot it or anything like that. Don\u2019t run after it.\u00a0 Just try to stay calm and show it some respect and you\u2019ll have an experience that is incredible.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
