The Sun has reported that a colossal 55-foot creature has been found washed up on a beach in China.

The CURIOUS CARCASS of this strange SEA MONSTER was found tangled in ropes on a Guangdong beach — which is located in the south-east of the country — and was so badly decayed that it could not be identified. But whatever this mammoth creature may be there ca be little doubt of its enormity as the monster weighed in at almost 5 tons.

It goes without saying that curiosity seekers have been flocking to the bizarre body in droves, despite the rotting corpse’s foul stench. A 66 year-old local fisherman known only as Hwang — who was also at a loss as to the origin of this UNCLASSIFIED critter — said he was astonished by the find.

It goes without saying that the scientific establishment was quick to dismiss the who thing. Scott Baker of Oregon State University Marine Mammal Institute, Bill Perrin, scientist for marine mammals at the National Marine Fisheries Service and Bob Brownell, scientist for international protected resources with NOAA’s Fisheries Service all insisted that it was nothing more than a whale based solely on the photograph. Although they all admitted that they were unable to accurately identify the species or even size of this mystery beast.
