The BFRO and Phantoms and Monsters have both reported that footage of a strange, long-armed figure was captured by a passing video camera as it walked away from the edge of Oregon’s upper McKenzie River while two whitewater row boats passed by.
The BIGFOOT FIELD RESEARCHERS ORGANIZATION (BFRO) — who released footage, which was taken in 2008 — feels that due to the isolated location of the incident, as well as the physical appearance and the behavior of the figure captured on the video, that the chances are it is a genuine HAIRY HOMINID sighting. They also stated that there are no indications of a hoax or a case of mistaken identity.
The fishermen — who were shooting a video clip for The Caddis Fly: Oregon Fly Fishing Blog — apparently didn’t notice the movement on the river bank. Understandably, the rowers were more concerned with running the rapids and the cameraman was focused on keeping the other boat in frame.
THE BFRO claims that at first glance the figure appears to be a bit larger than the human in the rowboat, and the figure does not appear to be any closer to the camera than the rowboat.
Hairy, man-like creatures are often spotted near creeks and rivers — which serve not only as watering holes, but as an excellent source of animal protein as they are chock fill of fish, amphibians and crayfish and the like — and the Three Sisters region of Oregon has a long history of SASQUATCH or BIGFOOT sightings and track finds.
