Boing Boing has published a photo of a colossal, black snake slithering next to a busy Louisiana roadway.

The frightening image, which was purportedly taken near Louisiana’s Morganza Spillway, is said to be of a large — and as yet unidentified — species of snake exiting the flooded wilds of Mississippi. Some have speculated, however, the the image may not be genuine.
