Vietnam Net Bridge has reported that scores of Vietnamese citizens are living in terror following a spate of attacks on humans and livestock by a strange, new species of dog-like animal.
In the border districts of Si Ma Cai and Muong Khuong — in the northwestern province of Lao Cai, Vietnam — people have repeatedly seen bizarre, and as yet UNCLASSIFIED, species of predatory canine.The strange creatures have bitten about 15 people in Ban Me, Thao Chu Phin, Quang Than San and Si Ma Cai communes in the two districts.
According to local residents, the strange dog-like creatures have slender, long bodies, slanting red eyes and fur coats marked with either white spots, black and white spots or hyena-like yellow stripes.
These extraordinary creatures have been seen wandering in the villages preying on dogs or attacking livestock like chickens, pigs, goats and even horses. Most frighteningly, the beasts seem to have no instinctive fear of humans, as they have reportedly attacked every person who has attempted to drive them away.
In what may well be related news, hundreds of households in Binh Dong Commune of Vietnam are allegedly in a panic following the discovery of mysterious footprints and loud, mysterious roaring sounds heard in the area.
According to Cao Tan Son, police chief of the Binh Dong Commune — which is situated in the Binh Son District in Quang Ngai — these mysterious incidents have been occurring since May 7th, 2011 at the foot of Dinh Mountaine.
Unlike the odd creatures seen near the province of Lao Cai, no one has yet claimed to have seen the strange — and ostensibly large — animal that created the huge footprints. While no one has reportedly seen the beast, over 20 dogs have already been killed in the area, a fact which has only heightened the anxiety levels of the nearly 280 households of the commune.
Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc, a 70-year-old woman, was the first to find her dead pet dog on the night of May 7th. She said that her dog was found without its head and some body organs. On the same eve, four other dogs were also found butchered in the same manner.
